Applications will be auto discovered once a Windows or Linux agent is installed in your server (Admin > Server Monitor > Settings). Enabling this option in Settings is a global action across the entire account. Alternative to this is the manual discovery of applications for each server monitor added.
Use Case:
A user has 1 server and has disabled auto discovery of applications. Now, the user wants to discover applications in only two of the 10 servers being monitored.
Solution:
Please follow the below steps:
Go to the Summary page of the server in which applications have to be auto discovered
Click on the icon beside the name of the server monitor
Select Discover Applications
This will add the child applications that are associated with this server
Note: Auto discovery will be initiated only when a new server is added. New instances to already existing servers have to be discovered manually.
